WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange Mountaineers boys’ soccer team defeated the Livingston Lancers in a semifinal game at West Orange High School on Tuesday. Avenging their only loss of the season against Livingston, the West Orange boys pulled ahead in the Essex County Tournament semifinals.

West Orange’s two goals came from Kofi Addo and Andrei Rosu, with eight total shots on goal. The Lancers were trailing, 2-0, going into the second half, until Livingston’s Stephen Erlich scored the Lancers’ only goal. After nine total shots on goal throughout the game, the Mountaineers maintained the lead.

In the first two rounds of the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 State Tournament, West Orange experienced victories over Morris Knolls and Fair Lawn. Both teams went into the game with sectional finals on the line, but the Mountaineers will be the ones to play Randolph for the North Jersey, Section1, Group 4 State Sectional title on Friday.
