On Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 6:45 PM (snow date Jan. 21), Temple B'nai Abraham's Social Action Committee and the TBA Sisterhood will co-sponsor the temple's 16th Annual Women's Interfaith Forum in celebration of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday at the temple. This annual event brings together women of different faiths and faith groups from all over Essex County for an evening of sisterhood and common interest.

The Forum will feature author Gabrielle Glaser, discussing her book America Uncorked: Women, Drink, and Denial. Ms Glaser is a former reporter for the Associated Press and The New York Times, whose work has appeared in The Washington Post, The Economist, Glamour and Health Magazine and been featured on National Public Radio. The event is open to women by invitation only.

NJ Governor Signs Executive Order to Fly Flags at Half-Staff to Recognize Parkland Florida Victims

New Jersey Governor Phillip D. Murphy signed Executive Order No.1 on Monday ordering the flag of the United States of America and the Flag of the State of New Jersey to be flown at half-staff to recognize and mourn the passing of the victims in Parkland, FL.

The order is for all state offices, agencies and municipalities, including schools for Tuesday, Feb. 20.
