LIVINGSTON, NJ – The West Essex YMCA in Livingston is holding a Grand Re-Opening of the Resistance Center on April 12 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. According to the Y, the Resistance Center will be fully equipped with all new Life Fitness machines. The overall goal of the facility is to maximize comfort, while still providing the strong results that Y members aspire to achieve. A new customized floor plan allows members to have more options, while maintaining familiarity. Members are encouraged to begin visiting the new Resistance Center after renovation has been completed on April 4. Call 973 992 7500 ext 105 with questions.

Associate Executive Director WEST ESSEX YMCA Cheryl Francione said, “The attractive and inviting changes we have made will have you inspired to start or continue your exercise journey at the West Essex Y. We are so excited to introduce our new state-of-the-art equipment in the Resistance Center. Our members will have the ability to maximize their potential and see results with this new floor plan.”

“The fitness staff will be available to give orientations on the new equipment and answer any questions members may have,” Health Enhancement Director Barbara Santola stated during the pre renovation tour. Barbara also mentioned the appealing nature of the machines that allow all fitness levels an equal opportunity to enjoy a positive experience. When deciding on which machines to purchase for the newly revamped Resistance Center, safety, comfort during movement, as well as durability remained top priority.

“We are so excited to initiate such new and positive experiences for our members,” said
Francione. “Creating healthy habits is the first step in achieving a healthy lifestyle. New small group training sessions will also be offered, to help you reach and maximize your potential.”
