LIVINGSTON, NJ — Members of Livingston High School's (LHS) Class of 2020 celebrated their junior prom at the Westin Governor Morris Hotel in Morristown on Friday evening for a night they won’t soon forget.
“The Junior Prom is a special tradition at LHS and this year was no different,” said LHS Principal Mark Stern. “It was a great opportunity for the Class of 2020 to step out and celebrate themselves and all that they are together for the evening. The class officers and advisors planned a wonderful evening for the juniors, filled with dancing, food and laughter. It was a terrific night.”
Students assembled in the high school parking lot in their glamorous prom dresses and debonair tuxedos for photos prior to boarding buses provided by the district. The busing system ensures that everyone is transported safely to and from the prom.
Resident Soraya Kressler, the mother of a junior attending the prom, said she was very happy with how the high school manages the prom.
"It's very safe,” she said. “The LHS staff really works hard to make sure the students get to the prom and back safely. Plus, they chaperone the prom to make sure the kids don't get on that bus drunk or high."
