Brad Ziffer Presents: “Sing’n The Oldies at the Livingston Public Library Senior Happening”

The Livingston Public Library invites the public to the premiere of the Fall 2018 Senior Happening series on Friday, September 21st when Brad Ziffer presents “Sing’n The Oldies”. Mr. Ziffer has been a participant in the Wildwood Crest’s “DooWop Weekend” for a number of years and is currently the Music Director at St. Raphael’s Church right here in Livingston. His upcoming Senior Happening performance will include songs by Elvis, Bobby Darin and Nat King Cole (among others) and he has a self proclaimed “love for the oldies”. He was also once part of a group who opened for Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge at Tarrytown Music Hall. When he’s not singing and playing piano at private events, Mr. Ziffer is also a successful voice actor for TV, radio and the internet.

Katie Neylan, Head of the Adult Services Department at the Livingston Public Library is ecstatic that Mr. Ziffer will be bringing his love of the oldies and his unique vocal talents to the September Senior Happening. “I’m so excited for everyone to be transported back in time through a variety of songs and artists”, adding, “Senior Happenings are such a great way to spend time socializing while also being entertained!”.

The Senior Happening is a monthly series that allows attendees (“Seniors” or otherwise) to socialize during the first part of the program (12 until 12:45 pm) by bringing a bag lunch, while enjoying desserts and coffee served by the Friends of the Library volunteers. The program and entertainment then begins at 1 pm.

Registration is required and may be done in person at the library; by telephone at (973) 992-4600; or online at www.livingstonlibrary.org. Livingston residents may register starting August 27th and other Essex County residents may register starting September 10th.

Senior Happening is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and administered by the Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
