Developing a Successful Business Plan: Workshop at Livingston Public Library

A business plan is a critical document and management tool for all businesses detailing the goals/objectives of a business, operational plans, strategies and tactics, and anticipated financial results.  It is the road map to the success of a business. For anyone starting a business, it's a vital first step.

It can be used  by investment-seeking entrepreneurs to convey their vision to potential investors. They may also be used by firms that are trying to attract key employees, prospect for new business, deal with suppliers or simply to understand how to manage their companies better.

In this workshop on the evening of Dec 9th, Paul Dzera, Chapter Treasurer and business mentor from SCORE (Chapter 13, Newark) will present information on how to develop a successful business plan, including management’s understanding of: 1) the company's current situation; 2) the industry and markets in which the company participates; 3) the issues and challenges that the company is facing; 4) management’s strategic plan; and 5) actual and forecasted financial results.

For over 50 years, SCORE has served as America’s premier source of free business mentoring and education. As a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), SCORE has helped more than 11 million entrepreneurs through mentoring, workshops and educational resources since 1964.
