Eco-Friendly Lawn Care

On Sunday March 11, at 2 pm, the Livingston Library will present the second talk in its"Know Your Garden" series.  "The Garden Coach" and Prof of Horticulture, Marc Zukovich's presentation will focus on the elements of an organic lawn care program.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Botany from Drew University and
certificates from Harvard Graduate School of Design and the New York Botanical Garden.  Since 1989, Marc has been teaching classes in horticulture as an adjunct professor at County College of Morris, where he was recognized with the NISOD national award for teaching excellence. He also teaches community courses for the Adult School of the Chatham’s, Madison and Florham Park and lectures to garden clubs and library programs throughout northern New Jersey.
Marc also provides a ‘garden coaching’ & landscape consultation service to
homeowners and contractors.

Soil testing, fertilization, over-seeding, mowing practices and other elements will be discussed in this session. Comparisons will be made between traditional and organic lawn care programs.

Whether you are a do-it-yourselfer or have a landscaper do it for you, this lecture is essential to conscientious lawn care and maintenance.

Free and open to all.
