Gratitude Workshop: Harnessing the Power of Gratitude to Heal and Grow

The Livingston Public Library will present an inspirational workshop on gratitude and how to harness its power in everyday life, on the evening of Monday, November 4.

 

This will be led by Dr. Peggy DeLong, Psy.D. who is a clinical and forensic psychologist in Long Valley. She maintains a counseling practice, and she works with clients age preschool through adult. She also serves as an Expert to the NJ Court System regarding parenting and child development.

 

Known as "The Gratitude Psychologist", she works with private therapy clients and community/business groups in fostering gratitude and cultivating joy in everyday living. This has inspired the creation of her best selling bracelet - The Gratitude Bracelet, and 100 other bracelet designs for emotional support, mental health, inspiration, and healing. She is also the author of "I Can See Clearly Now: A Memoir About Love, Grief, and Gratitude", published by Peacock Proud Press.

 

Gratitude, she says, is a positive emotion that helps naturally elevate mood, joy, and appreciation; attract more good things into your life; provides a sense of balance and perspective; helps shift your energy, and bring more of what you want into your life.

It also helps Increase energy levels, optimism, and productivity

This session will show participants how to develop gratitude in creative and meaningful ways; learn how gratitude can help with depression and anxiety; discover ways that they can incorporate gratitude into everyday living; and find gratitude regardless of what is going on in one’s life or the world.
