Livingston Express Shuttle Offers Free Rides Through Labor Day

As a special “welcome back” after a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Livingston Express Shuttle will be offered free of charge from May 17 through Labor Day, Sept. 6, with a schedule devised to provide maximum flexibility while following proper social-distancing guidelines.

In order to enforce social distancing on the Livingston Express Shuttle, the maximum occupancy is 10 people. Also in accordance with the state’s most recent executive orders, masks must be worn at all times while on board as well as inside all stations and facilities. Additionally, eating and drinking are strictly prohibited on board.

In restarting the Livingston Express Shuttle, the schedule seen above was created to minimize the wait time at South Orange train station.

The Livingston Express Shuttle service offers round-trip transportation between the Livingston Mall and the South Orange Train Station. Monthly passes are available for purchase online through Community Pass or at the Livingston Senior, Youth & Leisure Services (SYLS) Department located at 204 Hillside Avenue.

NJTransit now offers “FLEXPASS,” which provides 20 one-way tickets at a 20% discount that are valid for 30 days.
