Livingston Historical Society to Present Dramatic Adaptation of Holocaust Survivor’s Story

LIVINGSTON, NJ — At the next meeting of the Livingston Historical Society on Monday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m., Beth Kawa of Houtzdale, PA will perform vocal selections in a dramatic adaptation of The Hiding Place by Dutch Holocaust survivor Corrie ten Boom. The meeting will be held at the Livingston Senior and Community Center.

Beth will take the audience on a journey through Corrie’s life during World War II in the Netherlands and the confinement she endured at Ravensbruck Concentration Camp.

Corrie ten Boom had a mission to hide and rescue the Jewish people during the Nazi oppression under Adolf Hitler. Residents are invited to attend this performance to hear how Corrie’s life and story continue to challenge us today.

The Livingston Historical Society meets the fourth Monday of the month, September through April, at the Livingston Senior/Community Center.  Members of the community are welcome to attend for no fee; however, monetary donations to the Society are greatly appreciated.
