Livingston Library Virtual Event: What is Meditation?

VIRTUAL Program- What Is Meditation?

Hosted by the Livingston Public Library

What is meditation? When we hear about it, what comes to mind? We all know it is good for us, but how exactly is it beneficial? Please join us on Monday, October 19 at 7pm via Zoom for a virtual lecture on “What Is Meditation?” presented by Master Guo Yuan.

Master Guo Yuan will talk about meditation in his tradition. We know meditation could help us in many ways but it will be interesting to explore more. He will also show us how to use both body and hands to meditate. These poses will help you experience the true mental state of meditation. All you need to do is to have a comfortable chair at home to enjoy this event.

Master Guo Yuan is the head and chief teacher of Dharma Drum Retreat Center in New York. He has been leading Chan retreats in many countries of the world including the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Mexico, United States and many countries of Asia. He is well known in his teachings of meditation.

This program is open to all. Registration is required. To register, please visitwww.livingstonlibrary.org.

The link to join the Zoom meeting will be distributed to your email on October 19th at 3pm.
