Ludwig van Beethoven: his music and influence

In 2020, the world marks the 250th birthday of one of classical music’s singular artists, Ludwig van Beethoven. Born in 1770, the composer influenced the development of music in remarkable and definitive ways.

 

His defiant approach towards music and composing paved the way for artists today to express themselves as they truly desire. 

In this lecture on the evening of Monday June 8th,  you will gain an understanding of this complicated genius and learn how centuries later he is still influencing the world today.

Presented by Dan Lupo, who  has published over 15 books on music and music theory through his book publishing company Encore Music Books. He is the owner of A to G School of Music, as well as the founder of Five Minute Mozart - an online video tutorial program which provides music theory education for beginning to intermediate students. With more than one million total views, these video courses have been seen in every country and state and are currently being utilized by music teachers and students all over the world.

The program consists of a spoken lecture, playing of some classical recordings, and a live piano performance of some classical selections.

Free and open to all.
