Sleeping Better, Naturally

As we all know, a good night’s sleep is incredibly important for health.  Having trouble falling or staying asleep?  You are not alone. Fewer Americans than ever are getting the daily recommended amount of sleep.

On March 15th at 7 pm, the Livingston Public Library, in partnership with Summit Medical Group, is hosting a presentation on this crucial topic, entitled “Sleeping Better, Naturally” .  The presenter will be Dr. Marianna Shimelfarb, who specializes in Integrative Family Medicine.  She will talk about natural ways to promote healthy, sound, and restorative sleep.

Before joining Summit Medical Group Family Medicine Department, Dr. Shimelfarb served as an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Williamsburg (Brooklyn), NY. She is also a teaching faculty at the Interdisciplinary Integrative Medicine Fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and at the Holistic Family Nurse Practitioner track at the New York University College of Nursing. Dr. Shimelfarb is a recipient of several teaching awards, including Preceptor of the Year Award at the NYU College of Nursing.

The program is free and open to all but registration is required.
