"The Heart of the Matter" Presentation at Livingston Public Library

Heart disease is the leading killer of adults nationwide and it carries a significant morbidity for the population at risk.

In this presentation in partnership with the Summit Medical Group, Dr. Ali Ahmad will cover the traditional and non-traditional risk factors associated with coronary artery disease, and how to modify your risk and prevent heart disease.

You will also learn about how heart disease affects different ethnic backgrounds, and particularly high-risk groups such as South Asians, the second-fasting growing ethnic group in America.

Ali Ahmad, MD, FACC, is part of Summit Medical Group’s Cardiology team. Dr. Ahmad is a licensed and board-certified cardiologist with more than 10 years of experience treating patients in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. His area of expertise includes the diagnosis and management of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac imaging. He is board certified in adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, coronary CT angiography, and is a registered physician in peripheral vascular interpretation (RPVI).
