The Inventor in You

On Wednesday May 15, at 7 pm, join award-winning research scientist, inventor and author Charles Kannankeril  as he presents a talk on the process of invention and about his new book, "The Inventor in You", at the Livingston Public Library.

Having over 300 inventions, eighty four patents and many trade secrets over his career, Charles will discuss how to identify areas where an invention could solve a problem, develop the mindset, motivation and determination to develop inventions and how to protect the inventions by filing for patents.

He will also present some of his inventions and discuss how they were developed.

Filled with stories from the authors own experiences in creating useful and innovative products, "The Inventor in You" is a practical and entertaining guide to inventing, explores how an inventor's mind works and shows how you can bring your own ideas to life.
The author also emphasizes how important it is to believe you have what it takes to solve problems.  Many inventors make great contributions simply by modifying objects that they handle every day to their liking.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing after the program.

The program is free and open to all but registration is required, either via the library calendar at www.livingstonlibrary.org or by calling 973 992 4600.
