The Joy of Backyard Bird Feeding

Attracting and feeding birds in your garden is a great way to bring nature up close and provides hours of delight and enjoyment.  One great way of making your property bird friendly and also to learn about and observe birds is by putting up a feeder in your backyard.

In this program presented by a representative of the NJ Audubon Society, Bernardsville, NJ, you will learn about the the different types of feeders and the birds that they attract including common backyard birds like the American goldfinch, cardinal, black-capped chickadee, purple finch, red-bellied woodpecker, downy woodpecker, and tufted titmouse.

The program will discuss the do's and don'ts of putting up feeders, and some of the commonly encountered feeder problems.

Free and open to all.
