LIVINGSTON, NJ — Although Livingston programs and events continue to be affected by the pandemic—including the latest status updates provided below on popular township events such as the annual 4th of July celebration, Youth Appreciation Week, summer gazebo concerts and more—the township continues to provide essential services to all residents and has gradually been adding other services such as metal pickup and virtual programs.

"Although the township had to make the tough decision to cancel some of Livingston's most cherished events this summer—such as our July 4th Celebration, which has become one of the most popular events in the area—we are proud to still be able to provide many other services to our residents thanks to our outstanding team of township employees,” said Mayor Rudy Fernandez. “We have been lucky in Livingston that our safety protocols across all departments have been successful in keeping our employees healthy, which has allowed them to continue to operate fully staffed and provide the high quality of services that our residents have come to expect.”

As the weather warms and restrictions begin to lift on outdoor gatherings, the Township of Livingston is also reminding residents that it is still critical to follow the COVID-19 health and safety guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
