LIVINGSTON, NJ — Levine, Jacobs & Company, LLC took advantage of tax season to give back to the community, as the Livingston-based accounting firm does each year during this busy time. The charity that the firm chose to raise money and/or collect donations for this year was “Movers for Moms.”
As part of its Movers for Moms® program, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, which is also based out of Livingston, partners with local businesses and organizations to collect essential care items for women staying in local domestic abuse or homeless shelters. Once donations are collected, they are delivered to shelters around Mother’s Day.
“Being part of the community does not just mean that we work here,” said Michael Karu, CPA/CFF, a member of the firm. “We need to be part of the community and help others, who are not as fortunate as we. We may not be able to change someone’s life, but maybe we can make it a little better, even for one day.”
Levine, Jacobs & Company served as a drop-off location for donations that included soaps, hairstyling products, shampoos and conditioners, pillows, blankets, slippers, and other basic clothing items.
Levine, Jacobs & Company, LLC has been a sponsor for numerous causes and charitable organizations such as Relay for Life, The Livingston Little League, Toys for Tots, PKD Foundation, The Fall Tune-Up Soccer Tournament, The Big L Club, Livingston Summerfest and more and is also an active supporter of many other local organizations.
