LIVINGSTON, NJ — Kindergarten pre-registration is now open for Livingston Public Schools. A child is eligible for kindergarten if he or she has attained the age of five years on or before Oct. 1, 2020.

Only a parent or legal guardian residing in Livingston may register a new student for Livingston Public Schools. Proof of residency is required.

The three-step process for new student online pre-registration is as follows:

1.       Visit the Livingston Public Schools online pre-registration website to begin. During this pre-registration process, be sure to schedule an appointment to finalize the student's enrollment. All registering guardians should print the confirmation page before logging out.

2.       Download and complete the following forms: Health Services Information/Medical Packet; Landlord Affidavit Form (if applicable); and Records Request Form (for students entering grades 1-12).

*IMPORTANT NOTES: Completed forms must be brought to the registration appointment; physician forms must be signed by a licensed physician; and the landlord affidavit form requires the signature of a landlord and notary public.

3.       Once the online pre-registration and step two are completed, the registering person(s) will meet during a scheduled time to finalize the student's enrollment at the Livingston Public Schools Administrative Office (11 Foxcroft Drive).

The entire kindergarten registration process must be completed by May 15 in order for parents to be notified of their child’s school placement by June 1. This includes families with older siblings already attending a school within the district.
