LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston students who demonstrate outstanding “Puma Pride” to their team and school community at Mt. Pleasant Middle School (MPMS) are recognized throughout the year with Puma Pride Awards with the goal of building a community that is responsible, respectful, trustworthy, caring and kind. Puma Pride Awards honor those who exemplify the traits that make up the MPMS “Pillars of Character Education”: Caring, Respect, Responsibility and Trustworthiness.

As a school, MPMS teachers and administrators discuss with students what each of these character traits mean and what each trait looks like in the classroom, cafeteria, hallways and on the bus.
