LIVINGSTON, NJ — All township offices will be closed on Monday and the recycling and garbage collection schedule will change for the week in honor of the Labor Day holiday. In addition, the Livingston Express Shuttle will not run on Labor Day.

The township released the following information regarding the change in Waste Industries' collection schedule. 

Garbage Collection

There will be no garbage collection on Monday, Sept. 3. If garbage is regularly collected on Monday, garbage will be picked up on the next regularly scheduled day (Thursday, Sept. 6).

Recycling Collection

Recycling will not be collected on Monday, Sept. 3, and collection for all homes in Livingston will move forward one day all week. Therefore, Monday’s recycling will instead be picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 4; Tuesday’s recycling moves to Wednesday, Sept. 5; Wednesday’s recycling moves to Thursday, Sept. 6; Thursday’s recycling moves to Friday, Sept. 7; and Friday’s recycling will be picked up on Saturday, Sept. 8.
