LIVINGSTON, NJ – The Township of Livingston reminds residents that Town Hall and all Township offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2019, in honor of the Memorial Day holiday.
Annual Ceremony and Parade
The Livingston Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 27. The commemorative ceremony honoring those who have died defending the United States will begin at 9:30 am on Memorial Oval, followed by the parade 10 am. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Livingston High School Auditorium.
No Garbage or Recycling Collection
There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Monday, May 27.
If your normal garbage collection day is Monday, your garbage will be picked up on your next regularly scheduled day: Thursday, May 30.
Recycling will not be collected on Monday, May 27, and collection will move forward one day all week. Therefore, Monday’s recycling will instead be picked up on Tuesday, 5/28; Tuesday’s recycling moves to Wednesday, 5/29; Wednesday’s recycling moves to Thursday, 5/30; Thursday’s recycling moves to Friday, 5/31; and Friday’s recycling will instead be picked up on Saturday, 6/1. Honoring Veterans and Active Military
Along with the Memorial Day ceremony and celebrations, the Livingston Township Council and Township Manager wish to show Livingston’s gratitude to those who have served by updating the Township’s Military Wall of Honor, located in Town Hall.
If you are an Honorably Discharged Veteran or are currently serving in any branch of the military for at least 12 months, and are or have been a Livingston resident at any time, let us know by August 9, 2019. Find out how here.
