LIVINGSTON, NJ -- We clean our closets and our homes in preparation for the spring, but why not turn inward and do some spring cleaning for our mind and body?

On Sunday, April 7 at 7 p.m., Joanna Walker will lead a Restorative Yin Yoga practice at CardioYoga that will include twists, heart openers, forward folds and plenty of child poses to help you cleanse your body and prepare for the season of new beginnings.

Just as new buds appear on the trees and the flowers begin to bloom, spring also serves as a time for us to shed the dark, cold and slow shell of winter in preparation of new opportunities and mindsets for the lighter months ahead. This restorative practice will include special poses with the intention of preparing the mind and the body for the spring. Twists detoxify and cleanse our organs, back bends open our hearts to embrace the new season and child poses help to keep us grounded during this season of growth.
