LIVINGSTON, NJ — In order to raise funds for various community and global health initiatives, Saint Barnabas Medical Center (SBMC) invites area residents to bike, run, walk or swim on Sunday, Aug. 9 as part of a virtual 5K for CycleRed.

SBMC is committed to being “in and of the communities” it services. The Social Impact and Community Investment (SICI) practice is a collaborative effort between RWJBarnabas Health, facility leaders and community stakeholders to eliminate health care disparities and address social determinants of health.

According to SBMC, global health is a pillar of the SICI practice, which strives to help vulnerable communities and their residents both within the local community and abroad.
