LIVINGSTON, NJ -- The teenage years can be challenging, yet most transformative years of a young adult's life. Between the stresses of school and the pressure to fit in, teens are often seeking for approval from others, when really they need to turn inward and focus on themselves.
A four-week course at CardioYoga Studio can help build confidence and self-love in your teen by focusing on four main areas of self-care -- nutrition, skincare, movement and mindfulness.
CardioYoga Studio, located at 521 S. Livingston Ave., has brought together four experts to teach teens the foundation of proper nutrition, skincare, yoga and mindfulness. This is a course where they will learn the foundations on how to take care of themselves and how to practice self-love at an early age.
The first week will be lead by a certified health coach, who will teach the teens how to eat mindfully and most importantly build a positive relationship with food. Next up, our licensed skin specialist will talk to the girls about their skin and how to navigate through hormonal changes they may be facing with proper clean, yet effective, products. During the third week, our Teen Yoga teacher will have the girls connect movement to breath as they flow through yoga poses to calm the body and mind. The course will conclude with mindfulness with our meditation teacher, where each teen will learn various "tools" she can use to manage stress and anxiety.
This course will meet every Sunday from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. starting Nov. 24 and ending on Dec. 15. To sign up and get more information you can head to www.cardioyogastudio.com/teen-wellness-series .
