LIVINGSTON, NJ -- Summer is an exciting time for children, and without school every day, it is the perfect time to explore new interests, especially those that develop lifelong skills. Yoga has the power to teach children how to take care of themselves, besides the benefits of staying active they will also learn the skills needed to deal with the stressors in their lives.

CardioYoga, located at 521 S. Livingston Ave. in Livingston, is offering a great way to get your kids moving this summer in a Pop-Up Kids Yoga Class. If you have children ages 2-5, bring them for a Mommy + Me yoga class at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 4. Or if your child is 6-9, bring them for our Kids Yoga class at 12:30 p.m. The classes will be themed “A Day at the Beach” and the kids will surf on their mats, make noises in dolphin pose and sway their arms back and forth in Jellyfish pose.

Exploring yoga has many important benefits for children, such as teaching them how to be present and process their emotions, plus give them a  strong foundation for maintaining a healthy lifestyle while growing up. Spots for these classes are limited and advanced registration is suggested. For more information and to register go to www.cardioyogastudio.com/kids.
