LIVINGSTON, NJ — For the first time this summer, the Livingston Police Department will host a Junior Police Academy with the purpose of providing a week of fitness, education and fun for Livingston residents who will be entering sixth, seventh or eighth grade in the fall of 2020.

The curriculum, which will be presented in a police academy format, will include various presentations from guest law enforcement agencies, field trips, hands-on activities and physical training to give the recruits an idea of what is involved in becoming a police officer.

The academy will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day during the week of July 13 through July 17.  The cost to participate is $75 per attendee, and class will be limited to 50 students.
