LIVINGSTON, NJ -- The Livingston football team scored three touchdowns in the second quarter and went on to a 27-6 victory over Bloomfield on Friday night.
The Lancers (2-4) took a 7-0 lead on a touchdown run by sophomore halfback Quinn Devlin with 10 minutes to go in the second quarter. With Bloomfield backed up to its own goal line, the Bengals fumbled and defensive lineman Zach Greenberg of Livingston recovered it in the end zone for a Livingston TD with six minutes to go in the half. Spencer Feldman's second extra point of the night gave Livingston a 14-0 lead.
In the final minute of the opening half, quarterback David Cotugno connected with Anthony Lopa for a TD pass to extend the Livingston lead to 21-0.
Livingston's only touchdown of the second half came on a pass from Cotugno to Will Egner after linebacker Michael Lillo gave the Lancers possession with an interception return into Bloomfield territory.
