NEWARK, NJ -- David Cotugno passed for three touchdowns and ran for one to steer Livingston to its first football victory of the season, 55-0, over Newark East Side Thursday night.

Brian Russo scored two TDs for Livingston (1-3) and also intercepted a pass. Russo's TD run in the first quarter opened the scoring. Cotugno also ran 43 yards for a TD and connected with Luke Nardone on a 26-yard TD pass before the first quarter ended with the Lancers on top, 21-0.

Matt Bucich scored on a 6-yard run in the second quarter. Later in the period, Livingston pulled off the play of the night when Cotugno completed a pass to Nardone, who flipped the ball to teammate Russo for a hook-and-lateral TD covering 70 yards and extending the lead to 35-0.

In the second half, Chris Zeppieri caught a TD pass from Cotugno, Jack Schreiber returned a punt 45 yards to the end zone and Brandon Kenney went in on an 11-yard keeper for a TD.
