LIVINGSTON, NJ -- The Livingston girls basketball team shook off a sluggish start with a huge second quarter and went on to record a 61-20 victory over Newark Collegiate on Tuesday.
Ava Intile scored 23 points for the Lancers (6-1), who outscored Collegiate, 23-2, in the second quarter after falling behind by a point after one quarter.
Aliza Gelman and Sarah Cullen each scored seven points for Livingston, which won for the second time in two days. On Monday, Livingston defeated Glen Ridge, 52-20. In that game, Soliyana Asfaw scored nine points, Gelman grabbed 10 rebounds and Cullen came up with eigh steals.
