LIVINGSTON, NJ -- The Livingston 11U baseball team kept its hopes alive Sunday morning with a 4-2 victory over Millville on Sunday morning in the Little League State Tournament.

Had the Lancers lost on Sunday, they would have been eliminated from contention after having lost to Madison on Saturday. Instead, Livingston will try to keep its season going when the Lancers take on Brick Township Monday night at 6 p.m. at the Livingston Little League Complex at 109 Meadowbrook Road.

The Lancers reached the tournament by winning the District 8 and Section 2 tournaments earlier in the month. Anyone planning to attend Monday evening's game is advised to get there early to get a parking space.

Livingston qualified for the state tournament--which it is hosting--after completed a 3-0 sweep to win the Section 2 Championship, beating Hoboken, 5-1, in Fort Lee on Monday night.
