LIVINGSTON, NJ -- The Livingston girls tennis team, which won the Section 1, Group 4 championship last month, is represented with seven players on the Super Essex Conference's All-American Division teams.

Valencia Xu and Emma Conforti of Livingston each were named to the first team. Xu stepped into the first singles slot for the Lancers in her first year on the team after previously competing nationally in amateur tournaments and gaining recognition as the No. 1 ranked junior player in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Eastern Division Girls 16s and Girls 18s.

Conforti thrived in her role as Livingston's second singles player, finishing with a 17-6 record in individual matches this season against top-level competition. She finished her career with a record of 56-31 and four all-conference selections.

Second team All-American Division recognition went to Brielle Schwartz, Selena Zhu and Emily Szi of Livingston.

In perhaps the most competitive division in the entire state, honorable mention went to Lancer members Allison Miller and Stephanie Li.
