LIVINGSTON, NJ -- The Livingston girls basketball team will be changing divisions next winter, while the boys basketball team will remain in its current division.
The girls' program will move up to the Liberty Division of the Super Essex Conference from the Colonial Division in which it resided this past winter. The Liberty Division is considered the second most competitive of the SEC's five divisions, and the Colonial the third.
Joining the Lady Lancers in the 2020-2021 Liberty Division will be Arts, Columbia, Newark Tech, Caldwell, Mt. St. Dominic and Bloomfield. As a member of the Colonial Division, Livingston finished with an overall record of 18-8.
The Livingston boys basketball team will remain in the intermediate Colonial Division of the SEC for next season, but the composition of the rest of the division will be slightly altered. The other Colonial Division teams for 2020-2021 will be North Star, Verona, Millburn, Caldwell, Belleville, Bloomfield and Barringer.
