Investigators, after searching the home found that a first-floor window had been forcibly pried open leaving visible pry marks.  A search of the residence revealed that mattresses in each bedroom had been flipped off the bed and the rooms had been ransacked.

The investigation revealed that approximately $7000 in jewelry was stolen from a bedroom.  A coin collection valued at $1000 was also missing along with an antique pistol that was reportedly worth another thousand dollars.

The intruder used the same window to enter and exit the building.  Police remarked this was unusual as in many burglaries the intruders just walk out the front door.
