Gladwyne, Lower Merion, PA — A luxury SUV was stolen from a Gladwyne home on December 17 and was recovered by the police on the same day, according to Lower Merion Township Police.

The police worked with “OnStar” to recover a vehicle stolen from the 1200 block of Youngs Ford Road on December 17, 2018.  The 2017 green/gray Yukon Denali was taken sometime between 6 PM on December 16 and 8:12 AM on the 17th.

Lower Merion police had OnStar deactivate the vehicle meaning that it completely shut down the vehicle.  The vehicle was recovered in Philadelphia the same day.

The owner reported leaving the keys in the unlocked vehicle at their Gladwyne home.  The luxury suburban type vehicle was estimated to be worth somewhere between $41,000 and $46,000 based on an internet search of prices for that make and model.
