Ardmore, Lower Merion Township, PA — A Lower Merion Township Police officer and his K9 partner are featured in a national footwear advertisement according to the police.
The video has gone viral locally and portrays the officer, his partner and the department in an excellent light. At last check, the video had been viewed over 8,000 times.
Officer Jeffrey Seamans, his partner Rookie, were the stars of the ad.

Established in 1998 the LMPD Canine Unit consists of four Canines and their handlers. There is a K-9 unit assigned to each Platoon in LMPD Patrol Division.
The specialized unit provides tracking, apprehension of fleeing felons, building and area searches, and article or evidence searches. Canine Officers maintain a high level of visibility and participate in a wide variety of public appearances and educational programs.
In addition to basic patrol skills, the canines are trained in either narcotics or explosives detection. According to police officials, the Canine Unit has proven to be a very valuable asset to the police department in protecting lives and property.
Seaman’s and his furry partner earned certification last year in Explosives Detection. Seaman’s is also a combat veteran.
