DeLissio 85th Town Hall: Redistricting Reform and the 2020 Census
PHILADELPHIA, June 7 -- State Rep. Pamela A. DeLissio, D-Montgomery/Phila., will host her 85th Town Hall Meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, in Downs Hall at Jefferson University located at 3101 School House Lane.
The discussion this month will focus on why the 2020 U.S. Census is so important and how the results of the Census will impact redistricting, which will occur in 2021.
“These are events that occur once every 10 years, and it is imperative that citizens understand the importance and impact of these two events on the legislative process at the state and federal levels,” DeLissio said.
Two guest presenters for this Town Hall will be local representatives of Fair Districts PA, a nonpartisan citizens group working to stop gerrymandering.
Plenty of free parking is available at Jefferson University in the lot beside Downs Hall. Take bus route 32 for those using public transportation.
Folks from all parts of the 194th Legislative District are welcome, and more information can be obtained by calling DeLissio’s office at 215-482-8726 or visiting www.pahouse.com/DeLissio.
