LOWER MERION, PA -- Over the past five years, Montco Works, which serves Montgomery County as the local area’s workforce development board, has invited employers in the region to showcase to the future workforce the high paying, in-demand opportunities available in the manufacturing sector.
This year, the free event has received a considerable amount of buzz, and has even expanded to ManuFest and More, and will also feature high priority trade occupations in industries aside from manufacturing.
It is expected that a total of 70+ organizations will be in attendance to showcase the diverse pathways available to the incoming workforce in the trades and manufacturing fields. Exhibitors at ManuFest will provide interactive activities, product demos, and hands-on STEM related activities.
The annual ManuFest and More Expo is funded by employer sponsors along with the Business Education Partnership grant, which is awarded through the PA Department of Labor and Industry. MontcoWorks is part of the Montgomery County Commerce department, which is the county’s lead entity for economic & workforce development.
The sixth annual ManuFest and More Expo will take place at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, on March 12, 2019 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Registration is now open and welcomes students in grades 7 through 12, along with parents and educators. Click here for more information on how you can register for free.
