Bala Cynwyd, Lower Merion Township, PA —  In 1988, the Goddard School, an early childhood education franchise opened their first location in Philadelphia.  

On June 5  at 124 Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, the 500th franchise will have its ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new preschool built at what used to be St. Matthias Parish School.

The owners are Jodi and Bill Straub who are excited to be able to bring the long-dormant classrooms alive again.  Saint Mathius’s Parish School was buit in 1970, and the building that now houses the Goddard School stands ready to provide the sounds of children, learning and playing in Bala.
