Wynnewood, Lower Merion Township, PA — What is Clean Juice? I was in the Wynnewood Shopping Center heading to the food store when I passed a new business that opened on June 15: Clean Juice.
I had my twin boys (4 ½ years young), so I couldn’t stop as I tried to wrap my brain around Clean Juice. After pondering the name for a bit. I wondered what is it, and why would I want it?
The answer to the "what" part of the question was easy enough: I just googled it and here is what I found:
Clean Juice® is an American restaurant franchise that primarily serves smoothies, juices, and acai bowls. Seventy-one locations are operating now with another 59 in development across 23 states. The company was founded by Landon and Kat Eckles and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina
Now I had to figure out; would I want it? Well, I was not sure until I checked out their webpage. I am not much of a juice drinker. I do enjoy a little bit of orange juice in the morning, but that is about where it ends. But I mentioned that I have two young children, and that changes my answer.
You see when I got to their homepage, and I scrolled down looking for information, and I saw a picture of Alex Scott. Alex was the brave young girl that started Alex’s Lemonade Stand, she was from Wynnewood, and she battled a fatal type of cancer. The picture of Alex in her lemonade stand tore up my heartstrings.
I must take my two children to the store for some lemonade. Why? Because Clean Juice® is donating a dollar from the sale of each “The Alex’s Cherry Lemonade One” or “Alex’s Lemonade One.” and when I go I am going to ask if this promotion is still going on and then I am going to order three or four of Alex’s Cherry Lemonade.
So what is Clean Juice? I went back to the website to the “our story” tab and beyond seeing a cute young couple here is what I found:
In 2018. Clean Juice was the grand prize winner of Nextgen’s Franchising Award. Nextgen is a franchise advocacy group.
“Husband-and-wife team Landon and Kat Eckles recognized the growing trend where people are now investing in their health, often spending more money on food than clothing. The entrepreneurs founded Clean Juice, the only USDA-certified organic juice bar franchise, with the mission of inspiring others to be healthy in body and strong in spirit. Products include acai bowls, juices, juice cleanses, smoothies, oat bowls, custom toast products, and other healthy snacks.”
The company was named 5th fastest growing franchise in 2018 by Franchise Gator, a franchise directory service.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation has grown into a Foundation that has raised over $150 million for childhood cancer and funded nearly 1,000 research projects that have saved the lives of kids fighting cancer with no treatment options left.
