Armed Robbery at 7-11 in Haverford Township

 

Haverford Township, PA — A man armed with a  semi-automatic pistol robbed the 7-11 Store on  Eagle Road Friday morning in the Oakmont section of Haverford Township.

The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. Friday at the 7-Eleven store located at 143 West Eagle Road.

Police say the suspect entered the store, displaying a handgun and announced the robbery.  After striking an employee in the head with the weapon, the robber removed the cash from the register drawer and fled.

The robber was last seen walking towards Belvedere Avenue.

The store clerk was treated for a minor head injury.

Police are looking for a being a black male, medium build and wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, grey sweatpants, black Chuck Taylor-style sneakers, and a dark-colored ski mask.

Police believe this suspect is the same man who committed a similar armed robbery at the 7-Eleven on City Ave in Lower Merion Township early Thursday morning.

Police continue to investigate.
