First Student Bus Involved in Norristown Accident

An accident was recently reported at Germantown Pike and Stoney Creek Road in Norristown. The accident involved a First Student, Inc. bus and driver, which hit another driver.

The bus, which operates for Norristown School District, did not contain any students, and the driver was reportedly not injured in the incident. One eye-witness told LP TAP that the bus' driver "blew a red light and crashed into that car."

The accident, which occurred in East Norriton Township, is being addressed currently by local police. The driver of the vehicle, a dark blue-green, four-door station wagon, which was struck was taken via Plymouth Ambulance to a hospital for injuries. The extent of his injuries was not evident, nor relased yet by police. The station wagon sustained major damages.

LP TAP is live at the scene now, and will provide updates about the incident as they are made available by local law enforcement. Traffic is currently being diverted around the accident.
