The F.M. Kirby Children’s Center’s pre-K 4 class had a visit from Farmer Brown who spoke with the children about being a farmer and helping chicks hatch and stay healthy. The hatching of the eggs in the incubator located in the preschool classroom was streamed live via the school’s “hatch cam.” The children cared for the chicks until Miss Laura Cluff, the lead teacher, adopted the12 new arrivals and brought them home. Madeline Mierkiewicz, 4, of Chatham holds a baby chick while Sara Ramirez, 4, of Madison looks on.
