MILLBURN/MADISON, NJ -  Academic Journeys is pleased to announce the addition of Admissions Journeys to its catalog of services. Academic Journeys is a leading test prep, tutoring and counseling service provider, based in Millburn and Madison NJ, operated by its owner, Maureen McGovern.

College is one of the most important life decisions your child will ever make and one of the biggest financial decisions for your family! Academic Journeys fullservice admissions office, Admissions Journeys, will assist families with their college admissions needs. Admissions Coach, Ally Levy, uses a coaching model that puts your child in the driver’s seat to navigate the complexities of college visits, applications, essays and more. Ally has worked with students for over ten years as an English teacher, Literacy Coach, and Dean of Students in two of New York City’s most successful public schools, teaching a wide range of courses including Advanced Placement and special needs classes. She is certified as a secondary school English teacher and as a K12 principal. Prior to teaching, Ally was a Development Associate for the education nonprofit Facing History and Ourselves and a volunteer for Citizen Schools in Boston. She has helped dozens of students reach the college of their choice through her personalized coaching in admissions, essay writing, and test prep.

In addition to private admissions counseling, Admissions Journeys will launch their services with a series of small group classes available this summer. In the College Admissions course students gain the tools to explore their interests, rank their priorities, and learn how to make a list of potential colleges that are a true match for their interests and academic profile. The College Essays course will focus on one of the most daunting steps of the application, the essay. This course is designed to help students jump start the application process. Students will walk away with a polished draft of their personal statement as well as sample responses to some of the most common supplementary essay prompts. With the essays completed, the focus of senior year can be on academic success.

Academic Journeys will be offering College Coaching in both the Madison and Millburn locations. Please visit our website AcademicJourneys.usor call us at 9735645220 for more information.
