BREAKING: Madison Man Charged With Sexual Assault of a Minor, Police Say


An 18-year-old Madison man engaged in "numerous sexual acts" with a 13-year-old he met through a family member, said authorities on Thursday.

The man, Juan Chavez Osorio, faces charges of sexual assault, criminal sexual conduct and endangering the welfare of a child, said Madison Police Chief Darren Dachisen and Morris County Prosecutor Frederic Knapp in a statement.

Osorio is currently being held at the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown in accordance with criminal justice reform, according to authorities.
