Businesses and Individuals will be honored at the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Dinner on June 12

MADISON, NJ - The Madison Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Awards Dinner on Tuesday, June 12, 6:00 pm at Brooklake Country Club, 139 Brooklake Rd., Florham Park.

The evening will include a buffet dinner, cash bar, door prizes and an awards ceremony.

Awards to be given will include several Business Improvement Awards, various Community Service Awards and the popular Extra Mile Award.  The awards are being sponsored by TAPIntoMadison.net, Madison's hyper-local online news source covering police, fire, real estate, government, sports, education and lifestyles.

The Business Improvement Awards will honor Ave Florham Park, 90 Park Ave. for Best New Building, Daddy Matty's, 6 Elmer St. with the Innovation Award, Harvest Bistro, 50 1/2 Main St.,  will receive the Best New Relaunch Award and The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts, 9 Main St. will receive the 2018 Outstanding Preservation Award.

The Community Service Awards will recognize Thomas Haralampoudis of Madison with the 2018 Appreciation Award and the Forum Club of Madison with the Community Service award. 

This years Distinguished Service Award will recognize Gina Stiffler, owner of Bar Method Madison, 122 Main St. for her ongoing commitment to building a healthy community.

“These businesses and individuals are being honored for their dedication and support of Madison businesses and the community as a whole.” said John Morris, President of the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce.  “This fun event allows us to say Thank you and give recognition to those who make a difference."                                                           

This year will also honor those individuals who are chosen by the community to receive the Extra Mile Award.  The Extra Mile Award rewards Madison employees and business owners who provide outstanding customer service.  

“These individuals are recognized for that extra-special friendly and knowledgeable service, which truly makes a difference in the customer’s shopping experience”,  said Chamber executive director, Karen Giambra.

All are encouraged and welcome to join this fun and special evening.  This event is open to the public.  Tickets are available at $65 per person and can be purchased by cash or check.  Checks can be made payable to The Madison Area Chamber of Commerce and sent to P.O. Box 152, Madison, NJ 07940.  Please RSVP by June 6.

Madison Area YMCA Charity Golf Outing and Dinner Reception to Send More Kids than Ever to Summer Camp

The Madison Area YMCA’s 21st Annual Charity Golf Classic and “Camp for One, Camp for All” dinner reception held at Morris County Golf Club in Morristown will send more children to summer camp than ever before. Event proceeds exceeded $100,000.

Citi Global Markets was the presenting sponsor. Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse were tournament sponsors.
