Chamber Reveals Madison Home Decorating Contest Winners

MADISON, NJ - The Madison Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of its annual Outdoor Home Decorating Contest for 2014.  The residences and business once again lit up the neighborhoods with their festive lights, wreaths and holiday decorations.

 

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year," Peter Daniele, of Rose City Collision, 291 Main St., said. “This annual event is fun and it showcases the beauty of our neighborhoods and downtown business district”.

The Outdoor Home Decorating Contest is a traditional event that allows Chamber members to give back to their community and say thank you for supporting their businesses throughout the year.  The yard signs the winners place on their properties have been generously supported by The Provident Bank, 98 Main St.; The Madison Pharmacy, 66 Main St.; Doodlebugz,  55 Main St.; Rose City Collision, 291 Main St.; JM Egan Wealth Advisors, 21 Green Village Rd.; Madison PhotoPlus, 40 Main St.; Stewart-Morris Awards, Gifts & Flags, 71 Kings Rd.; House Doctors/Barba Builders, 973-377-0123; dtorr, 36 Main St.; Adams Dental, 1 Kings Rd.; Cleaners Advantage, 1-888-471-7676; and Pipe Works Services, 973-635-3111.

 

The two grand prizes were awarded to the Frasso family, 7 Union Ave. and the Pagliuca family, 48 Knollwood Ave.  Each grand prize winner received a $100 Chamber of Commerce gift check, an engraved plaque and a yard sign for their front lawn.

 

The following families were awarded within a theme category.  The Sylva family, Once Cross Gates won Most Elegant and the Lajewski family, 2 Woodside Rd. won Most Colorful.  The Nugent family, 35 Lawrence Rd. won Picture Perfect.  The Davidson family, 22 Surrey Lane won Most Creative.  The Zienowicz family, 152 Shunpike Rd. won Best Sparkling Holiday.  The Arnstein family, 14 Noe Ave. won the Best Storybook theme.  The Buzinkia family, 7 Independence Rd. won Most Traditional and the Hughes family, 99 Madison Ave. won Home for the Holidays.  The Arnold family, 29 Station Rd won Most Tasteful and the Massey family, 18 Holden Ln. won Winter Wonderland.  Each theme winner received a $25 Chamber of Commerce gift check, a certificate of acknowledgement and a yard sign to be placed on their property.

Honorable Mentions went to the Miola family, 9 Ardsleigh Dr., the Quinn family, 10 Baumgartner Dr. and the Wickens family, 18 Glenwild Road.

Holiday decorating awards were also awarded to the following businesses:  Cramers Carpet One, 73 Main St.; Rose City Jewelers & Gemologists, 1 Waverly Pl.; Gerlach’s Jewelers, 61 Main St.; Madison Pet Shop, 26 Main St.; Once & Again Consignment, 52 Main St., Rocco’s Bar & Grill, 30 Cook Plaza, Madison Jaguar, 275 Main St. and Home Sweet Home, 27 Main St.
