Competitive College Admissions; The Myths and Realities of Competitive College Admissions

MADISON, NJ - Madison High School’s Guidance Department will host their final Conversations with Counselors program of the year, Thursday, April 6, 7-8pm.  Guidance Director, Brett Levine, will be speaking on the topic, “Competitive College Admissions: Myths and Realities.”  According to Mr. Levine, commonly held beliefs about admission to the most competitive colleges and universities are simply not true. Drawing upon his years of experience and inside knowledge Mr. Levine will provide accurate information and constructive advice to help those in the college search and application process.

Brett Levine has been Director of Guidance in the Madison Public School district since November 2005. Prior to coming to Madison he was a guidance counselor at Montclair High School and has held administrative positions at Adelphi University and New York University. Mr. Levine has presented at college admissions workshops sponsored by the College Board, the National Association of College Admissions Counseling and The New Jersey Association of College Admissions.

Conversations with Counselors is a five-part workshop series addressing various college admissions and high school transition topics. The workshop will be held in the Madison High School auditorium, 170 Ridgedale Avenue, Madison, NJ. This workshop is free and open to the public; no RSVP necessary.
