MADISON, NJ - Another week of scholastic sports is on tap for the Madison High School Dodgers, and highlighting the slate this week will be a rare event in town:

Friday Night Lights.

After dropping a 42-41 shootout to Butler over the weekend, Madison will host a rare night football clash vs. Dover at Ted Monica Stadium. Dover—the football program with the most victories of any in Morris County—comes into town for a key NJAC-Freedom Division tilt.

First played in 1912, Dover currently leads the all-time series by a slim 6-5-2 margin. That tally does not include a 63-6 varsity triumph for Madison over the Dover JV squad back in 1923. Madison has won the last three meetings since the series was reactivated in 2012.

With the Morris County Tournament seeding meeting on Monday night, the Dodgers field hockey squad figures to earn the top seed. They’ll be in action three times this week, including in the MCT round of 16 on Saturday.

Kevin Lynott’s girls soccer squad is coming off a huge 3-2 victory over Pequannock in the Morris County Tournament preliminary round yesterday. The reward for the #14 seed Dodgers? A trip to #3 seed Kinnelon this coming Sunday.

That same day, Madison’s boy soccer team—seeded 7th in the field—will launch its 2015 MCT when the Dodgers play host to #10 seed Morristown.
