Drew University to Honor Former Baseball Coach Masco

MADISON, NJ - The Drew University athletic department and baseball program will honor former baseball coach and current associate athletic director Vince Masco by retiring his No. 19 in a ceremony to take place before Drew's doubleheader against The University of Scranton on Saturday, April 26 at Doc Young Field.

Masco was Drew's head baseball coach for 28 years. From 1984-2011, Masco compiled 387 wins and is the all-time leader in coaching victories in school history.
Masco led his teams to four MAC and Freedom Conference Tournaments in 1995, 1999, 2001 and 2006. He coached five teams in the ECAC Tournament and made the semifinal round in 1989 and 2000, while leading the Rangers to a runner-up finish in the ECAC Championship game in 1999.
The former coach will be honored in a pregame ceremony at Doc Young Field beginning at 12:30 p.m. before the Rangers take on Scranton in a doubleheader.

The event coincides with Senior Day, when the Rangers will recognize the service of five outgoing Drew baseball players before the conference battle with the Royals.
